MARRIED At First Sight Australia fans were left gobsmacked tonight after Lauren told husband Matthew she “used to be a lesbian”.
The blonde Aussie made the bombshell admission just days after taking 29-year-old Matthew’s virginity during their honeymoon.
Matt, 29, had been asking his new wife, 31, a series of questions in a bid to get to know her better.
But after discovering her favourite colour and food, he was left speechless after being told she’d previously dated women.
Matthew had asked: “What’s something about you that most people find surprising when they learn?”
Twirling her hair, Lauren replied: “I used to be a lesbian. You don’t know the half of me yet. You really don’t.”
She was then seen later telling the camera: “The fact I’ve had feelings and relationships with girls definitely shocked Matt.
“He was silent and just shut down.”
Viewers of the E4 reality show were just a stunned and took to Twitter in their droves to comment on the shock admission.
One tweeted: “#MarriedatfirstsightAustralia and I didn’t see that coming!”
Another said: “Omg Lauren you know what Matthew is like… And you completely floor him with I was a lesbian. He and rest of us are in shock, I mean please what do you say?!”
A third commented: “Lauren dropping that bombshell on Matt when all he wanted to know is what her favourite colour was…”
One fan even wrote: “So Matthew lost his virginity to a lesbian?!”
Earlier in Friday night’s instalment of MAFS Australia, Matt and Lauren – along with the other newlyweds – were seen moving in together.
They were filmed shopping for new bedding, before Matthew – who the voiceover now refers to as “ex-virgin Matt” – spoke about losing his virginity to Lauren.
He admitted: “It was just a beautiful moment. It was worth the 29-year wait. “Loz is just amazing, I just want to be with her.”
Married At First Sight Australia continues on Monday January 18 on E4 at 7.30pm.
