MARRIED at First Sight UK viewers wasted no time in calling out Sophie’s dad over his controversial and “snobby” remarks.

But fans aren’t convinced by Sophie and Jonathan’s pairing
The 26-year-old, who has a successful career in tech, was soon heard boasting: “Money doesn’t buy you happiness, but it certainly helps.”
And it appears her dad David feels the same way.
Speaking to the cameras after his daughter had wed, he turned his attention to Jonathan – and he didn’t hold back.
“I mean, he’s from York, not Monte Carlo,” he said, before assuming: “You know, so the girls that he’s met up there wouldn’t have been anything like Sophie.”

But viewers were appalled by his comment and took to Twitter to air their feelings over his seemingly snobbish behaviour.
Alongside an array of angry-faced emojis, one person penned: “Sophie and her family need to be taken down a peg. Snobby and rude – especially her dad. Who does he think he is?”
Echoing their comments, someone else said: “I can’t believe Sophie’s dad slandered Jonathan because of where he was from before he even got to know him.”
While a third remarked: “Wow. Even Sophie’s dad’s judgemental! At least we know where she gets it from…”
After tying the knot, Sophie would find out Jonathan’s character as she asked: “What’s your favourite type of food?” to which he admitted: “Haribo.”
Speaking to the cameras Jonathan said: “Probably say she was more of a Waitrose, M&S and I’m more of a Morrisons.”
While she said: “He’s from a very different world…”
