MAFS UK next series will be the most explosive yet as telly chiefs are still reeling over one bombshell couple, says show star Paul Carrick Brunson.
The TV fave, 48, confirmed that filming for the upcoming series of the much-loved E4 programme is underway as he launched the new Oatly campaign to explore the UK’s on-off relationship with dairy.

MAFS UK’s Whitney, famously ditched hubby Duka for late arrival Matt after accusing Duka of being ‘fake’.
While it left the nation shook, Paul has warned fans to brace themselves for more intriguing situations when the new series hits the airwaves later this year.
Paul told The Celeb Report: “I believe this year of MAFS UK will be the most diverse cast ever in the history of dating in the UK. To me it’s going to be a true cross section of the nation.
“It’s not for the faint-hearted. I still have to see my therapist throughout this.
“This year is going to be by far our best series. For those who want to see roller coaster love stories, you’ve got them. For those who want to see couples implode, you got that. For those that want to see how couples compare against each other, it’s there. Wait till you see the dinner parties!”
He adds: “No offence to Love Island, but this year it seems people want to know when MAFS is starting. It’s coming, guys.”
Paul said in hindsight the experts had no regrets allowing Whitney and Matt back on the show after they dumped their partners to be together – although they are still reeling from their shock coupling.
A host of their Married At First Sight co-stars were also less than impressed when the duo were allowed to stay on the programme as a couple.
Paul Brunson said: “Whitney and Matt – That was literally the most trying moment ever in the history of TV for me. When I look back and I talk to everyone most people are actually happy they were let back on. The reason why, is that it then allowed for their relationship to grow, and then for their relationship to implode. It was serious.”
The experts are still reeling from Whitney and Matt a year on.
Paul said: “It’s intense. We’re filming towards the end of the series that’s coming this year. We’re filming in the location where last year Matt and Whitney had to come back and asked if they could re-enter the experiment.
Myself, Charlene and Mel were all commenting that the energy from that day was so off, that we could still feel the energy in the room today.
“We still feel Matt and Whitney’s presence – oh my God.”
Paul was excited to learn about how compromise plays a huge part in relationships – even down to choosing which kind of milk to have in the house.
The survey, commissioned by Oatly, revealed that milkhabits are a contentious area for Brits who have said that compromising on our favourite type of milk is the household decision we are least willing to budge on.
Further findings include:
- A quarter (25%) of Brits admitted milk being left on the side caused bickering in their household
- Household habits concerning milk irritate both men and women equally, unlike other disputes such as wet towels on the floor (23% vs 30% respectively)
- In the kitchen, 38% of Brits were happy to agree on the amount of spice added to a meal
- 37% didn’t mind changing their brand of toilet paper for a happy home life
