Erica Roberts Opens Up About the Extent of the 'Fight Night'
A star from Married at First Sight UK has spoken out about the intense altercation that took place during the show's "fight night," revealing that there were disturbing scenes that viewers did not get to see on TV.
It was previously reported that Luke Worley was removed from the show after punching fellow contestant Jordan Gayle.
Now, Jordan's show bride Erica Roberts has shed light on the full extent of the explosive confrontation.
A Shocking Incident
Erica confessed that she was deeply shocked when the fight occurred, saying, "As soon as it happened, my initial reaction was I was in complete and utter shock – I couldn't actually believe it had just happened."
After the cameras left the room, Erica and Jordan were left alone, accompanied by welfare staff. Erica described the aftermath, stating, "I completely broke down."
A One-Sided Attack
Speaking on the Secure The Insecure Podcast with Johnny Seifert, Erica described Luke's behavior during the altercation. She said, "[Luke] was proper, like, punching into him. Jordan couldn't do anything. It was as if he had his hands tied behind his back."
Erica believes that Jordan refrained from fighting back because he knew it would lead to his own removal from the show. She expressed her distress at seeing her partner in such a vulnerable situation.
Emotional Aftermath
Erica revealed that being around Luke after the incident triggered her and caused her to feel extremely panicky.
Luke, who had previously called Jordan a "f****** scumbag" after being expelled from the show, was initially paired with Jay Howard for the experiment. However, both Luke and Jay left the show following the fight.
An insider from the show disclosed, "Luke and Jordan had difficulty getting along from the moment they met, but no one expected their conflict to escalate to the extent that it did. The tension between them reached its peak during a couples' retreat dinner and later resulted in a physical confrontation inside Jordan's apartment."
