MAMA June said it’s “f**ked up” that her daughters Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird and Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson won’t allow her boyfriend Geno Doak at their reunion.
The 41-year-old mother prepared to meet up with her estranged daughters during Friday’s episode of Mama June: Road to Redemption.
June– whose real name is June Shannon- has had a rocky relationship with her daughters after she and Geno were arrested on March 13, 2019 on drug possession charges, including possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia charges in Alabama.
As the TV personality dealt with her legal issues and drug problems, her daughter Pumpkin, 21, was granted custody of Honey, 16.
During the episode, Pumpkin called her mother to discuss a potential reunion now that she’s sober.
Pumpkin explained that there would be “stipulations,” including that Geno was not welcome to attend.
She told June: “I’m happy that y’all are finally getting it together and that things are coming together, but you know I’ve been trying to hold things together, too.
“So that’s kind of been a lot.”
June said she “appreciates” Pumpkin watching Honey, adding that she keeps an eye on them through social media.
June continued: “That’s pretty much the way that I know what’s going on in y’all’s life, which is kind of f**ked up.
“And now it’s like, we’ve become clean and it’s like, okay I’m gonna just distance myself from you.”
Pumpkin explained she “needs a healing process,” to which June responded: “We need to heal together.
“Me and Geno want to see y’all and make it right.”
Pumpkin then told her mother she doesn’t want Geno at their first reunion because “there’s a lot of stuff Alana needs to tell you from her side.”
The mother of one continued: “There’s a lot of stuff I need to tell you from my side and there’s stuff you have to tell us for us to get closure.”
Pumpkin added that she won’t show up if Geno is there, which prompted June to respond: “That’s f**ked up.”
She continued to bash her mother’s boyfriend as she said in a confessional: “I’m really starting to get fed up with Mama because she just expects that everyone is supposed to forget about the things that Geno done to her, to us, to us as a family in general.
“And I haven’t forgotten about those things at all.”
The TV personality further said: “And I also have a responsibility for Alana.
“Like, I’m not gonna let someone come back in and basically break down everything that I helped her build back up.”
The Mama June: From Not to Hot star has had a difficult time winning over her estranged daughters following her legal issues.
Pumpkin previously exclusively told The Celeb Report that Honey “attended therapy” after their mother’s arrest.
Speaking of Honey, Pumpkin said: “She’s definitely in a better place than she was a year ago. We’ve really started working on ourselves attending therapy and being more conversational as a family all together.
“I’ve encouraged her ever since I’ve had custody of her to get good grades in school and go to whatever college she wants to go to. There aren’t a lot of people in our family who have done that. I know Alana is very much capable of it.”
