MARK Wahlberg showed off how he packed on 20 pounds in just three weeks.
The shocking transformation is for an upcoming film role.
Yesterday Mark shared side-by-side snaps showing his remarkable body change.
In one pic, the Academy Award-nominated actor flaunted his ripped abs in boxing shorts.
The other shows him lying down on a bed after packing on the pounds for his new film, Stu.
He captioned the pics: “From this 3 weeks ago, to this, now. Thanks to @chef_lawrence_d cooking.”
Mark’s wife Rhea showed her support, commenting: “And it looks just as hot in person baby.”
Over the weekend, he shared a video from the gym of his changing physique captioned: “Kenny’s down 50 and I’m up about 20.
“Inspired to be better! I’m going up another 20. Yes, it’s for a role.”
Last month, Mark told Jimmy Kimmel Live of his new role: “I’m playing a guy who was a fighter—he was many things.
“He was a fighter, he moved to L.A. to become an actor, he fell in love with a girl, he had an accident, he had an outer-body spiritual experience, he decided to become a priest.
“He died of a rare disease, IBM, but he had a big impact on a lot of people in a very short amount of time.”
Mark shared of the weight gaining process for the film: “After we do the boxing scenes, I get to put on as much weight as possible over the course of the film, so I’m challenging myself to put on 30 pounds in the next six weeks,”
“They want me to do it as healthy as possible. I’m like, ‘Dude, I’ve been on such a regimen for so long, I just want to eat everything in sight.’ I want to go to bakeries, I want to go to Denny’s, I want to get pancakes. I want to get everything that I could possibly get my hands on.”
He said his ultimate binge-worthy meal would be “maybe a 20-piece chicken nugget, hot wings from Kentucky Fried Chicken with a six-pack of beer. Let’s start with a bang.”
Mark last played a boxer in 2010’s Academy Award-winning film, The Fighter.
Last month, Mark lost his mom, Alma, who was 78-years-old.
He and his famous brother, Donnie, helped lay the mother-of-nine to rest in Boston.
She had been suffering from declining health and dementia.
Mark shared the sad news of his mom’s passing with a photo of her on Instagram last with the caption: “My angel. Rest in peace.”
