The nice guy and HR worker took to Instagram last night and said: “Regarding the Perky Pete and being fake, the following comment is from a gentleman I used to serve coffee to while in uni years ago. He didn’t need to write the paragraph.”

Duka then shared the message which said: “I have met Duka several times in the past and I can assure you that what you see is what you get. He is very intelligent and articulate young man, most importantly he was a gentleman and showed respect to everyone.

“He obviously comes from a very close and loving family who have taught him his values. I will not comment on his partner in this venture, but I know that whatever problems he faces he will overcome them with humour and grace.

“Integrity is his middle name. You will come out of this an even stronger man. God bless you and your loved ones.”

MAFS UK bride Whitney breaks silence on REAL reason for 'bad' behaviour

Before going on the matchmaking show, Channel 4 released this statement about why Duka had joined the show: “Duka has lived in the UK since he was 10 years old, when his family fled the former Yugoslavia to escape conflict.

“He arrived not speaking a word of English and was bullied because of it.

“His struggles growing up had a definitive role in shaping the man he’s become; he finds it difficult to let people in and puts up his guard when people start to get close emotionally.

“Nowadays Duka’s a man about town. He says women fall at his feet, but they’re never the right girl.

“He finds that the girls he fancies are often superficial and he gets bored of them easily.

“Duka loves art and poetry and wants to find an ‘Instagram girl’ that loves looking after herself, but can also have a deep conversation about world issues.”

Speaking ahead of going on Married At First Sight about how people view him, he told Channel 4: “People see me and think ‘oh he’s a d**k head’…but that’s not the case – people are too quick to judge me.”
