MARTIN Lewis appeared to slam the BBC this morning, amid the cost of living crisis.

The 50-year-old financial journalist appeared alongside Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on This Morning when he made his remark.

At the end of the chat, he began: “I know we shouldn’t say things like this.”

Martin then went on to praise ITV for “supporting consumerism television,” and said the opposite of the BBC.

He accused the Beeb of relegating the broadcast of similar shows “in the middle of a cost of living crisis”.

After sharing his views, Holly Willoughby could be heard saying: “Quite right,” before giving Martin a hug as they wrapped things up.

Martin spoke about his career on today’s show, including his aspiration to be on This Morning.

After a throwback clip was shown of him, Martin took to social media to tell fans it had been twenty years since his first performance on the show.

He wrote: “I’m in this morning today as unbelievably I’m celebrating twenty years since my first appearance. I can’t believe it.”

His legion of fans took to the comments to praise him on the landmark, as one wrote: “And you have been fabulous throughout! Well done and thank you.”

A second added: “Well done thanks for all your help,” and a third penned: “Ready to watch ! You’ve helped so many Martin
