MARVEL fans have launched a ‘save Daredevil’ campaign as the MCU have launched a regained the rights from Netflix after it axed the show.
Now viewers are hoping the show will be revived and are calling for Disney+ to broadcast it.
Daredevil ran for three seasons on Netflix from 2015 to 2018, before it was cancelled by the giant streaming platform.
At the time, it was believed that the season lengths, production costs, as well as the then-upcoming launch of Disney+ played a pivotal role in the decision to axe the show.
Under the terms and conditions of the Netflix deal, the Daredevil rights as well the characters involved were placed in a state of limbo for two years, which has now passed.
As a result, #SaveDaredevil began trending on Twitter and fans called for Disney, who own Marvel, to revive the series with all the original members of the cast.
Just a reminder that Daredevil is one of the best shows on Netflix and that Disney should most certainly #SaveDaredevil. Charlie Cox, @vincentdonofrio, and the entire cast and crew should return to bring Matt’s story to a close. pic.twitter.com/E8dd1MynFY
