Masked Singer fans spot Joan Collins has ‘no idea’ who Rockhopper star Michelle Williams is

THE Masked Singer guest judge Joan Collins appeared to have no idea who Rockhopper star Michelle Williams was last night.

Viewers were in hysterics as the screen legend, 88, looked bewildered following the unveiling of the Destiny’s Child singer, 42.

Dame Joan Collins didn’t seem to have a clue who Rockhopper singer Michelle Williams was

Destiny’s Child singer Michelle is one of the show’s biggest ever signings

One wrote on Twitter: “Joan Collins doesn’t have the foggiest who Michelle Williams is.”

Another said: “Joan Collins literally had no idea who Michelle Williams was!”

A third posted: “Joan Collins still had no idea who Michelle Williams was, even after the reveal.”

After Michelle removed her character’s head and spun around to reveal her identity, Dame Joan looked confusedly at her fellow panellists.

And she was none the wiser even after host Joel Dommett said Michelle’s name.

Arguably the show’s biggest ever signing, the American star was part of one of the best-selling female groups of all time.

Explaining the range of accents she used to confuse the panel she insisted: “I couldn’t come out talking like me.”

Michelle, who is thought to be worth at least £20million, added: “I was behind my mask cracking up.”

Michelle was revealed after singer Aled Jones was unmasked as the show’s Traffic Cone.

The Songs of Praise host and radio star, 51, was revealed in the first of two dramatic ‘unmaskings’ on the ITV show.

He explained that references to performing at “20,000 feet” were nods to Walking In The Air, the 1982 song he performed aged 15 for animated film The Snowman.

Jones said he couldn’t wait to get the costume off but called his appearance on the series “so uplifting”.

He told host Joel Dommett: “When will I ever sing Rick Astley and the Pina Colada song again?”

Previous weeks have seen football legend Michael Owen as a singing pile of doughnuts and Gloria Hunniford as a snow leopard.

Firework was revealed to be actress Jaime Winstone, after Chandelier was unmasked as Heather Small.

Elsewhere Tom Chaplin from the band Keane was the show’s Poodle, Will Young the Lionfish and Pat Cash put on a Scottish accent as Bagpipes.
