But it was one contestant that had viewers all saying the same thing.

Painter and decorator John was back again eager to win over the MasterChef judges with his unique sugar-free dessert.

He served toasted pecans on top of a ginger nutmeg, all spice, and date sponge.

He served it with a ginger and caramel sauce, cardamom, cinnamon, star anise spiced apple puree, and saffron and nutmeg ice cream.

Both judges were left very impressed with his dish and praised him.

John Torode said: “I think it’s really good work, it’s lovely, really lovely.”

Greg added: “That is light, delicate, and banging on the door of delicious.”

The contestant then got emotional and started tearing up as the judges gave their feedback.

Viewers were not pleased when John became emotional again, as he had previously done in the other episodes.

Taking to Twitter to complain, one wrote: “Don’t start crying, John. You’re only allowed to cry once.”

A second added: “Oh not John crying again. For god sake!”

A third penned: “Is he crying again?!”

A fourth wrote: “Every time this bloke cries, getting a bit annoying now.”

A fifth complained: “Bin John just for the sugar-free tears.”
