Monica Galetti Returns to MasterChef: The Professionals to Delight Fans
In a surprising turn of events, MasterChef legend Monica Galetti is making an epic comeback to the show. Last year, Galetti announced her departure from MasterChef: The Professionals in order to focus on her restaurant and family. However, she will now be joining co-hosts Marcus Wareing and Gregg Wallace for the upcoming season.
The official MasterChef X account tweeted a picture of the trio together, with Monica beaming in the middle, announcing her return. Fans of the show were absolutely thrilled by the news, expressing their excitement and saying that the show wasn't the same without her.
Monica's return coincides with the departure of Irish chef Anna Haugh, who was part of the judging panel for one series. Galetti had been a part of the show for the last 14 years, first joining with Michel Roux Jr and Gregg Wallace, and then with Marcus Wareing from 2014.
In a heartfelt statement last year, Monica explained her decision to step back from filming the series. She expressed her need to focus on her loved ones and the challenges faced by her restaurant and kitchen team. She apologized to her MasterChef family, crew, and friends, and expressed her hope to return in the future.
MasterChef: The Professionals is set to make its highly-anticipated return on Monday, October 23 on BBC One.
