MASTERCHEF: The Professionals fans were left raging at a contestant and demanded they should be “instantly disqualified” from the show .
The 15th season of the BBC show sees chefs from all over the country compete over six weeks to become the 2022 champion and impress new judge chef and restaurateur Anna Haugh, Michelin-starred chef Marcus Wareing and MasterChef judge Gregg Wallace.
Budding 27-year-old chef Zarka came on the show but things didn’t seem to go well for her
The chef was clearly struggling and fans thought she should’ve been instantly disqualified when she failed to plate up a dish in 20 minutes
The BBC culinary series returned last night with four new cooks entering the kitchen facing tests to impress the judges, but one contestant didn’t seem to impress.
Tasked with making ravioli with a cheese and “nduja filling”, served with an oregano butter emulsion 27-year-old Zarka didn’t perform well as she “rushed” things and judge Marcus said she made the pasta “too thin”.
The last round saw Anna set the test for two chefs, who needed to fillet a rainbow trout, cook a portion and serve it with a pea and wild garlic puree.
But it was clear that Zarka lacked the cookery knowledge as she failed to plate up a dish full of flavour in 20 minutes so fans felt she should’ve been “instantly disqualified”.

MasterChef: The Professionals viewers all say same thing about new judge
Unimpressed with her cooking skills, fans of the show took to Twitter to express their opinions on the contestant.
One wrote: “2 weeks in a row someone not plated up in time. I’d make them serve an empty plate. #MasterChefTheProfessionals #MasterChef”
Another viewer wrote: “Sorry, but she didn’t deliver on time, so she should have been disqualified instantly. This is supposed to be #MasterChefTheProfessionals #MasterChefUK.”
Another wrote: “I don’t get that. If you’re out of time and you haven’t plated a dish, then you’re out, surely? #MasterChefTheProfessionals #MasterChefUK.”
A third added: “What is it with contestants going over time this series?”
Head Chef Zarka’s pan-fried cod loin with courgette flowers and cauliflower florets, tumeric puree and white wine sauce didn’t captivate the judges because the fish was uncooked.
In the end Zarka was taken out of the competition. She shared how disappointed she was in herself saying it was a “kick in the teeth”.
