But Daniel Osbourne is determined to help him

Daniel (portrayed by Rob Mallard) made a huge discovery about Max Turner (Paddy Bever) in recent scenes of the ITV soap.

In a hard-hitting video diary, Max opened up about how he felt in the STC and Daniel became determined to help him.

Despite opening up to the teacher about his inner turmoil, Max refuses to let his own father David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) in and almost gives him the cold shoulder while making out he doesn’t want to get his hopes up about his sentenced potentially being shortened.

But next week, David visits Max with a plan in mind and quizzes him closely about his mental state.

Unfortunately for him, Max realises quickly that David has been talking to Daniel and when the barber admits he’s seen his video diary, the lad is fuming.

Max hasn’t been having the safest of times in the Secure Training Centre with his routine involving fights and bullying.

As he progressively shuts down from his own family, Daniel has become increasingly determined to help him and David make amends.

Could it also put an end to the ongoing Barlow-Platt feud once and for all?

At No.8, David confides in Daniel how concerned he is for Max which gives Daniel an idea.

Later on, at the STC, Daniel hands Max his mobile and tells him there’s a message on it from David.

Max listens to his father’s message – but how will he react to it?

The youngster admits to Daniel he watched David’s video but hasn’t recorded a reply.

Could he pluck up the courage to tell David how he truly feels?

Coronation Street airs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
