TROUBLED Weatherfield teen Max Turner is due for an early release from the STC.
But when the lad tries to right his wrongs next week in Coronation Street, he’s thrown to realise his efforts are in vain.
Max Turner was charged with incitement to murder
He’s due to be released sooner than expected from the STC
How will Alya Nazir react to the news?
Vulnerable and isolated, Max Turner (played by Paddy Bever) was groomed by Griff Reynolds and took part in his plot to spread his racist agenda across Weatherfield.
This caused him to make videos for Griff which, sadly, inspired an unstable resident named Blake to try and murder Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) who saved local politician Maria Connor from an attack.
As a result, Max was charged with incitement to murder and thrown into an STC for six months.
But next week on ITV, the troubled teen is due for an early release and his sister Lily reveals the big day has finally come for him to return.
Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) gets word of Max’s release and is horrified, pointing out that her granddaughter Alya almost died because of him.
Max is just as shocked when he’s told of his early release and jams his bad across his cell door, determined to stay put.
David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) talks to Max through the door and assures him he wants to help.
In tears, Max admits that he did some terrible things and can’t face returning home.
In later scenes, Max is filled with shame as a police officer calls to fit him with an electronic ankle tag upon his return to the cobbles.
The youngster then spots a delivery driver outside Speed Daal and hands him a letter for Alya.
Sadly, when Alya reads the letter, in which Max confesses how sorry he is, her anger rises and she heads out on a mission.
What will she do against Max?
Will Max be able to put his past behind him?
