All-star cast announced for beloved sitcom
BBC bosses have revealed the star-studded lineup for the upcoming series of the beloved sitcom, The Cleaner, created by and starring comedian Greg Davies. The show, which first launched in September 2021, follows the adventures of state-certified crime scene cleaner Paul "Wicky" Wickstead, played by Davies.
Returning cast and new guest stars
In the upcoming series three, Greg Davies will reprise his role as Wicky, alongside a host of talented actors. Joining the cast are Game of Thrones star Conleth Hill, Inside No.9's Steve Pemberton, Ghosts actor Ben Willbond, The Tower's Gemma Whelan, and My Big Fat Diary star Sharon Rooney.
Exciting plot and characters
The series follows Wicky as he navigates the aftermath of murders, interacting with a diverse array of characters along the way. Despite the grim nature of his job, Wicky manages to find humor and entertainment in his interactions with everyone from murderers to friends of the deceased.
Delight from the creators
Greg Davies expressed his excitement about the show's return, promising bizarre characters and plenty of laughs in the upcoming season. BBC's Director of Comedy, Jon Petrie, also expressed his delight in the fantastic cast assembled for the new season.
Previous guest stars and premiere date
Previous seasons of The Cleaner featured big names like Helena Bonham Carter and David Mitchell. The highly-anticipated series three is set to start airing from Friday, October 4 on BBC One and iPlayer.
