LOVE Island viewers will watch tonight as Gemma Owen’s famous father breaks his silence on hers and Luca Bish’s relationship.
The 19-year-old has made it to the final of the ITV2 dating show alongside her fishmonger partner, despite having a few fall-outs.
Gemma is very close to her father Michael
The first family meet-up could be slightly awkward for the couple after Gemma’s mum, Louise, previously voiced her concern over Luca’s behaviour towards Tasha Ghouri.
Gemma’s dad – football legend Michael Owen – won’t be able to head into the Majorcan villa tonight, but Louise will be there to give Gemma the long-awaited approval.
She passes on a message to Gemma from her father: “Honestly, he is really proud of you, really proud.”
Louise then adds a comment from the whole family: “They’re all loving watching you, they’re missing you like mad.”
Things are set to get emotional for the family, who are very close.
And it’s not just Gemma’s family who will be paying a visit, as Luca’s parents Michael and Maria are also in the villa.
Luca’s dad Michael – who decided to wear a pair of the famous fish flops for his visit – says about Gemma: “She puts you straight doesn’t she.”
Mum Maria adds: “First night I said they fancy each other, I knew it.
“I love the values and morals she has.”
All of the remaining islanders’ family and friends are set to head into the Love Island villa tonight ahead of Monday night’s finale.
Viewers will watch as Ekin-Su’s mum Sezer and younger brother Arda head into the villa, as well as her partner Davide’s mum Nadia, and his sister Valeria.
Speaking to her son in Italian, Nadia says: “You’re doing well and you’re being yourself.
“Dad’s also watching and sends his regards. He doesn’t understand much of the English!”
She adds that: “In Italy everyone has been watching you.”
