He posted a sweet snap onto Instagram where the broadcaster donned a casual blue shirt as he looked into the eyes of his Golden Retriever Nellie.
Monty‘s canine companion smiled as she put her paws onto the lap of the TV personality in an adorable display of affection.
The BBC Two star captioned the photo: “Nellie singing happy birthday to me on Saturday.”
And his loyal fans quickly swarmed the comments section as they were whipped into a frenzy over the sweet snap.
