Feeling snubbed

MR Motivator, also known as Derrick Evans, has criticized ITV for what he perceives as overlooking fitness presenters like himself in favor of other personalities, such as Family Fortunes’ Gino D’Acampo.

Speaking out

The 72-year-old fitness icon expressed his frustration, stating that he believes he could do a better job than some of the current presenters on ITV. He called out the broadcaster for producing what he called "cheap TV" and accused them of tokenism.

Desire for his own show

Mr Motivator emphasized that he feels he has earned the right to have his own show and questioned why he is not given the opportunity to present programs like Family Fortunes, which he believes are relatively easy to host.

Call for more health-focused content

Expressing his disappointment with the lack of health and fitness content on television, the TV legend criticized the emphasis on quiz shows over programs that promote well-being. He recently launched a campaign with HomeServe focusing on stress relief through DIY and movement.
