That’s because Joe appeared on BBC One reality show Let It Shine back in 2017.
The series, fronted by Gary, saw a panel putting together a boy band to appear in musical, The Band, which featured the songs of Take That.
Joe was not a contestant, however, but a member of the cast of West End smash Jersey Boys, who were guest performers on
Gary was a judge alongside Dannii Minogue and Martin Kemp, while the likes of Glee’s Amber Riley and US talk show host Ricki Lake appeared as guest judges.

The show was hosted by Graham Norton and Mel Giddroyc, but was axed after one series.
Meanwhile, Joe met his demise in Corrie earlier this week when Leo was killed by Stephen Reid after learning that he was defrauding mother Audrey Roberts.
Amid a fight on the factory gantry, Leo was sent over the edge of the railings into a bin.
Joe shared a snap of himself in his dressing room mirror on social media after his final scenes aired.
He captioned the shot: “Oooft. What a ride… Six weeks that turned into a hell of a year.
“A dream come true for a lad from the North West. Can’t thank the whole team at @coronationstreet enough for letting me add my footprints to the cobbles.
“(This one was for you Gran…) Now, how’s that sinkhole looking? #Leo #Corrie #OverAndOut”.
