Where was My Mum Tracy Beaker filmed?

The filming of My Mum Tracy Beaker took place in Eccles town centre in Manchester.

Dani Harmer filmed her brand new Tracy Beaker reboot with her on-screen daughter Jess (Emma Davies), in October 2020 and production lasted for about a month.

The actress was all smiles as she was pictured on set strolling with the 12-year-old and a tall dashing male co-star Sean (Jordan Duvigneau).

She sported a blue top and black leather jacket as she sheltered from the rain with a red umbrella on a gloomy day in the North West.

Prior to filming, Dani tweeted: “Off to Manchester I go! Stupid virus means I can’t see my family for 5 weeks which is going to be beyond tough! But needs must!

“The mum guilt is off the scale! Let’s hope these 5 weeks go super quick! Thank goodness for FaceTime.”

There was a lot of buzz amongst locals and employee at Eccles British Red Cross, said: “It’s exciting; I did want to know if she was the original actor, which she is, so that’s great.”

A resident added: “I think its great, it should bring customers to the centre. There are no customers here anyway because the shops are closing (due to COVID-19). So hopefully, this brings them back.”
