Naga Munchetty surprised her co-star Charlie Stayt when she playfully called him a brutal nickname during their morning show. The duo, known for bringing viewers the latest news, were discussing Halloween preparations when they sent their reporter Ben Boulos to a pumpkin farm in Harpenden.
Testing their knowledge
Ben joined Charlie and Naga at the pumpkin farm, surrounded by a variety of pumpkins and squashes. He then challenged the hosts to see if they could correctly identify the difference between the two.
While Naga correctly guessed that Musquee De Provence was a squash, Charlie, 61, struggled to identify a Warty Goblin as a pumpkin.
Naga's victory
The game resulted in Naga scoring all the points, while Charlie failed to identify any pumpkins or squashes correctly. Ben playfully declared, "Two-nil to Naga! Naga, you really know your cucurbits. Charlie, I'm afraid you're this morning's pumpkin!"
A playful nickname
Gloating over her win, Naga jokingly suggested calling Charlie by the nickname "Warty Goblin" for the rest of the day. Charlie, clearly unamused, dismissed the game as "stupid". However, Naga had the last laugh, remarking, "That's set the morning up perfectly, hasn't it? Warty Goblin."
