PRODUCTION for the final episode of Neighbours ended mere days ago in Melbourne.
The Australian soap teased its final episode with a trip down Memory Lane in a brand new trailer.
Channel 5 viewers are eagerly waiting for the Neighbours finale, due to air in August, 2022.
Luckily for them, a new teaser trailer was released on Thursday via Ten Peach’s Instagram page and it’s packed with a series of flashbacks from the show’s most legendary moments.
The first one being Scott Robinson’s unforgettable 1987 wedding ceremony with Charlene Mitchell, with both characters being played by Jason Donovan and Kylie Minogue.
Back in the day, the episode had been watched by 22 million viewers in Australia and in the UK.

Then came the time for Toadie (played by Ryan Moloney) and Dee’s (Madeleine West) car accident in 2003.
Alan Fletcher can also be seen in the teaser as Karl Kennedy, notably known for his explosive affair with Izzy Holland (Natalie Bassingthwaighte).
The pair were eventually caught by Susan Kennedy, portrayed by Jackie Woodburne, who appears in the footage.
Erinsborough’s first same-sex wedding between David (Takaya Honda) and Aaron (Matt Willson) is also part of the trailer, much like successful actors Margot Robbie, Guy Pearce, Jesse Spencer.
All of which appeared on the show before moving on to Hollywood.
Legendary stars of the soap are set to return to Neighbours for its finale and their appearances had already been teased by backstage snaps of the cast.
After months of speculation, it was announced that production for the program would stop in March, 2022.
The decision came after Channel 5 decided to focus its attention on UK drama, leaving Neighbours without a safety net.
With Fremantle being unable to fund production of the show on its own and with no British broadcaster stepping forward to save the day, Neighbours was axed altogether after 37 years on the air.
“We are so sorry to say that after nearly 37 years and almost 9,000 episodes broadcast we have to confirm that Neighbours will cease production in June”, a representative for Neighbours wrote in a statement.
“To our amazing, loyal fans, we know this is a huge disappointment, as it is to all of us on the team.”
