FORMER Neighbours star Nicola Charles blasts the show’s last episode, calling it “unwatchable.”
The British-Australian actress has shared some savage views on the ending of Neighbours amidst claims that she wasn’t invited back for the show’s finale.

Nicola Charles, 52, played the controversial character Sarah Beaumont on the soap from 1996 to 1999, and then reprised her role as a guest in 2005, 2013, and 2016.
Sarah’s biggest plot line on the show centred around her illicit affair with Dr Karl Kennedy, played by Alan Fletcher.
As Neighbours fans will know, Karl later had an affair with Izzy Hoyland, played by Natalie Bassingthwaite, who reprised her role for the last few episodes of the series.
However, Nicola claimed she wasn’t invited back to appear in the show’s final hurrah alongside other cast members like Jason Donovan, Kylie Minogue, Ian Smith, or even the likes of Margot Robbie, Natalie Imbruglia, and Holly Valance, who appeared in video messages.
She claims it is because of her stance on Covid-19.
‘I’ve been cancelled because I am unvaccinated,’ she told Daily Mail Australia on Friday.
Nicola added that she believes she’s been “universally cancelled for speaking her truth” about the Covid-19 pandemic and vaccines.
However, she added that she was ultimately relieved not to be invited back, because she was not impressed with the finale which aired last night on Channel 5.
“In the end I felt relief that Sarah Beaumont had not been part of the shambles offered up as the last episode of Neighbours,” she said.
Speaking to The Herald Sun in Australia the following day, Nicola elaborated on her disappointment at the 90-minute finale, calling it “unwatchable.”
“There was zero suspension of disbelief and no attempt to round off storylines or drag even theatre school level performances from the ‘actors,’” she said savagely.
She continued, saying, “Guy Pearce [was] expected. Without his appearance, it would have been unwatchable.
“As it were, Kylie [Minogue] may as well have bounced around and grinned on Zoom and it was heartbreaking to see Terry Donovan, a true gent and character of old, stuck on a BBQ chain only in a wide shot,” she added.
