Fans of the long-running Australian soap opera, Neighbours, are in for a treat when the show returns later this month. Neighbours icons Alan Fletcher and Jackie Woodbourne, who play Dr Karl and Susan Kennedy, have hinted that their characters will be at the heart of all the action.
Karl's daughter Holly returns
Viewers will recall that Dr Karl Kennedy's daughter, Holly, played by Lucinda Armstrong-Hall, last appeared on the show back in 2018. However, she is set to make a comeback and pose some major challenges for the Kennedys.
A manipulative minx
Holly's return is set to shake things up, as she is accompanied by Izzy Holland, known for her manipulative ways. Alan Fletcher, who portrays Dr Karl Kennedy, expressed his excitement at the reunion, stating that Holly's character potential is immense due to her parentage.
A character with attitude
Holly is now 20 years old and is described as a strong-willed individual who marches to the beat of her own drum. Her presence will keep the memory of Izzy alive, as she embodies her mother's persona in a unique way.
The concerns of Susan
While Susan Kennedy (played by Jackie Woodbourne) loves Holly, she has serious reservations about her lack of responsibility. The character of Izzy will continue to cast a shadow over the Kennedys, as Holly brings a touch of her mother's wild nature to the table.
A potential love interest
With plenty of attractive individuals on Ramsay Street, Karl Kennedy will face added challenges as he tries to keep up with his daughter's antics. Jackie Woodbourne teased that there is a lot of drama to come, with Karl seemingly not doing enough to rein in Holly's behavior.
Neighbours fans will undoubtedly be excited to see how the Kennedy family navigates these new obstacles and what lies ahead for the beloved characters.
