Fans have branded the youngster ‘devilish’

It depicts the chilling tale of a couple finding a traumatised child of “unknown origins” wandering in the middle of the road.

The youngster, Clara, is convinced if she steps across a chalk square on the ground she will be haunted by a monster.

Netflix warns viewers the pair, Clara and Simon, will work together to unlock the child’s dark past and states: “Wife Paula must decipher the girl’s strange behaviours to unlock her identity and dark past.”

After they decide to adopt her in an attempt to discover her secrets, the plot takes a terrifying twist.

Fans took to Twitter to explain their fears, with one writing: “Omg this child be acting devilish.”

Another confessed: “The Chalk Line was also one of the best thrillers I saw this year. Kept me guessing in a world where movies are so predictable.”

A third mused: “Watched #TheChalkLine. Creepy ish!”

Another posted: “The Chalk Line is haunting, wow.”

One then suggested: “If you have a slow day, watch The Chalk Line on Netflix. You will experience every emotion.”

A fan mused: “There’s a movie called The Chalk Line on Netflix and I’m still messed up about it.”

One then giggled: “If you need a f***ed up movie recommendation please watch The Chalk Line on Netflix!”

It comes after fans said they were “too scared to do anything alone” after watching series 28 Days Haunted.

Previously, fans also said they were “too terrified to sleep” after watching horror I Am A Stalker.

Recently, Netflix viewers also turned off show His House, saying it “scared the hell” out of them.

They also confessed they were “stressed and unable to sleep” after another particular crime series.
