NETFLIX has finally confirmed the future for Black Mirror – and it’s good news for fans.
Viewers of Charlie Brooker’s dystopian series, which first hit screens in 2011, will be delighted to hear of its return for season six.
As reported in Variety, the upcoming Black Mirror series will be bolstered by more episodes than its predecessor, which featured just a trio of programmes.
The publication claims “the latest season is even more cinematic in scope, with each instalment being treated as an individual film.”
Sources have claimed that casting is now under way.
It has been almost three years since fans claimed they were left “terrified” by the fifth instalment.

Miley Cyrus, Andrew Scott (A.K.A Fleabag’s Hot Priest) and more starred in the three episodes of Charlie Brooker’s terrifying sci-fi anthology series.
Fans were blown away by the series calling it “terrifying”, “beyond creepy” and stopping them from sleeping.
One wrote on Twitter: “i was gonna sleep but…black mirror”
While one exclaimed: “Holy F**k! I’m not even in the middle of #BlackMirror’s episode and it’s already beyond creepy! Wow! Just simply terrifying!”
Addressing series five, show creator Charlie Brooker previously said: “Last time I kept getting asked, ‘How do you do Black Mirror in a dystopian present?’ and I was saying, ‘Well I deliberately haven’t written an episode about Brexit, because you don’t know how that’s going to play out, so you’d have to wait and see, in a way.”
Yet when touting the prospect of Black Mirror season six, Charlie told how he doubted the public “would be able to stomach” a show about “societies falling apart.”
At the time, Charlie said he didn’t think the show’s style and approach would be appealing in the current climate as the world battles coronavirus.
Speaking to the Radio Times, Charlie said: “I’ve been busy, doing things. I don’t know what I can say about what I’m doing and not doing.
