Rob Lowe's Unstable cancelled by Netflix

Netflix has made the decision to cancel one of its highly anticipated comedy series, Unstable, after only two seasons. The show, which was created by and starred father and son duo Rob and John Owen Lowe, will not be returning for another season on the streaming platform.

Poor viewing figures lead to the show's demise

According to Deadline, the comedy series Unstable failed to attract a significant audience, ultimately leading to its cancellation. Despite launching its second season in August of this year, the show did not secure a spot in the Netflix top 10 and garnered just 1.3 million total viewers after a week on the streaming site.

Rob Lowe shopping the show to other networks

Although Netflix has decided to part ways with Unstable, Rob Lowe and his team are reportedly exploring other options for the show. The creators have begun pitching the series to other networks, with a potential third season already offered to US television channel Fox, where Rob has a first-look deal.

Another Netflix hit, "That 90s Show," also gets the axe

In a recent trend of cancellations, Netflix also announced the end of "That 90s Show" after two seasons. Kurtwood Smith, known for his role in "That 70s Show" and its spin-off, shared the news on social media, expressing gratitude to the show's fans for their support.
