The Crown to pause after the Queen's death 'as a mark of respect'

The road to the famous hotel’s entrance had been closed off to the public, and a number of huge production trucks were on-site.

As expected, the show will also be pausing its production for the day of Her Majesty’s funeral.

On Monday, September 19, no filming will go ahead out of respect for the late monarch.

A spokesperson from Netflix recently confirmed this, stating on Friday: “As a mark of respect, filming on The Crown was suspended today.

“Filming will also be suspended on the day of Her Majesty The Queen’s funeral.”

The show’s sixth series is thought to be its last, after plans to end the show after season five were scrapped.

However, fans have called for a seventh series to also be confirmed, to honour The Queen.
