NETFLIX star Kate Nash has shared a series of never-before-seen photos from the axed show GLOW and The Society – leaving fans heartbroken.
In 2020, the giant streaming platform made a U-turn on its decision to renew the series for a fourth season.

The last series was axed amid the Coronavirus pandemic
GLOW was three weeks into filming the new series and had completed one episode and started on a second when when production was delayed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Fast forward three years and actress Kate, who played Rhonda on the American comedy-drama, shared behind-the-scenes images from the cancelled season.
She wrote: “The glow season you never saw. Netflix I’m having a real memory lane moment okay…let me live!”
The TV star shared photos alongside her co-stars dressed in elaborate outfits and posing in the wrestling ring.
Kate told fans: “We filmed two episodes but had scripts for all.”
Fans of the show were thrilled to see the unearthed photos, but also gutted that the series never aired.
One wrote: “This show was incredible. I wish this season happened.”
Another posted: “I miss this show a lot. You all were amazing, I wish we got that last season.”
A third added: “I remain angry we did not get this season and hope we somehow get to see it anyway!!!”
Someone else fumed: “Gutted it ended before it was able to complete the story. Netflix execs should take a hard look at themselves.
“A completed series gets better re-watches than a series which doesn’t. I still live in hope it may happen.”
Netflix took the decision to axe the last series amid the Coronavirus pandemic.
The social distancing made wrestling scenes impossible to film, making it another casualty of the coronavirus-related production shutdown.
“We are so grateful to creators Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch, Jenji Kohan and all the writers, cast and crew for sharing this story about the incredible women of GLOW with us and the world.”
That on top of covering additional COVID-related costs for its large cast of 20, it meant that the series was unable to continue. However, all of the series regulars have been paid for Season 4 in full.
A Netflix spokesperson said in a statement to Deadline: “We’ve made the difficult decision not to do a fourth season of GLOW due to COVID, which makes shooting this physically intimate show with its large ensemble cast especially challenging.
At the time, series creators Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch released an emotional statement which read: “COVID has killed actual humans. It’s a national tragedy and should be our focus. COVID also apparently took down our show.
“Netflix has decided not to finish filming the final season of GLOW. We were handed the creative freedom to make a complicated comedy about women and tell their stories. And wrestle. And now that’s gone.
“There’s a lot of sh*tty things happening in the world that are much bigger than this right now. But it still sucks that we don’t get to see these 15 women in a frame together again.”
The pair ended the statement with high praise for their cast, adding: “We’ll miss our cast of weirdo clowns and our heroic crew. It was the best job.”
