The first Candyman film directed by Bernard Rose, was released in 1992 after being influenced by one Clive Barker’s novels from Books of Blood.

After becoming hugely popular, two sequels in 1995 and 1999 followed called Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh and Candyman: Day of the Dead.

The fourth “spiritual sequel” which will hit our screens in two months time is based on short story The Forbidden by Clive Barker.

Candyman was supposed to hit the big screen in 12 June 2020, but the coronavirus pandemic halted production and was pushed back twice more.
