Footage captured her grey shirt’s reaction to the camera lense, with ringers appeared across her torso.

The optical illusion reminded viewers of Katy Perry’s bizarre cone-bra outfit.

Ainsley claimed the blunder could not have come at a worse moment because she was celebrating two-years with the broadcaster.

In a Twitter post, she said: “Today marks two years at CTV.

“I’ve learned a lot. Never wear this shirt in the studio is lesson one.”

The social media post went viral and had more than 1.4 million views.

Her fans flocked to share their enthusiasm for the outfit.

“I’m sure it got a lot of attention, it really draws the eyes,” a Twitter user said.

“Thank you for the joy this brought me,” one added.

“Okay, I’m hypnotised,” a second remarked.

“Oh my gosh, thank you for this share – love how you framed learning on the job, it made my day,” another said.

It comes after a number of other journalists had their own embarrassing moments live on TV.
