NEWSROUND presenter Jenny Lawrence suffered an on-air mishap which left viewers amused and thoroughly entertained.
The presenter was finishing up the morning episode of the kid’s news show when things suddenly took an unexpected turn.
Jenny sent her script flying across the studio during the show
She quickly tried to grab the papers before wrapping up the programme
Completely out of the blue, she clumsily chucked her papers in the air during the broadcast.
Before Jenny dashed the script across the studio, she announced: “That’s it from me this morning… and my script!”
Despite the on-air blunder, Jenny continued on with signing off, saying: “Have a great day. Head online for loads more, including Stormzy’s plan to help diversity in football. Take care.”
Making light of the funny moment, she later shared the awkward slip-up on social media, where she playfully captioned the video: “Didn’t like my scripts anyway [ laughing emoji].”
And it’s clear to see viewers were certainly entertained by the moment as they praised Jenny for soldiering through it.
Newsround viewers took to Twitter to share their praises to Jenny.
One wrote: “We love those unscripted moments!”
Another wrote: “This has provided me so many laughs today, brilliant save Jenny!”
A third viewer wrote: “Thought you styled it out nicely
We also then had a wee chat about live TV.”
A fourth penned: “This has provided me so many laughs today, brilliant save Jenny!”
Unsurprisingly, things don’t always go to plan when making TV shows, but at least it makes for amusing viewing.
In May this year, BBC Four and CBBC announced they will be scrapped as normal TV channels amid a huge shake up that will see 1,000 jobs cut.
Viewers praised Jenny for her ability to style it out
