Could his family sabotage everything?

Nick Tilsley (portrayed by Ben Price) was surprised to see Damon Hay (Ciarán Griffiths) return to Weatherfield with plans for the Bistro.

After experiencing money troubles last year, Nick is ready to try anything to make sure business is going well in his restaurant.

But he will have to jump through a few hoops next week before the Bistro can get the boost it needs.

Little does he know that a close family member isn’t happy with his ideas.

Coming up on ITV, Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) later takes her husband Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) out for his birthday lunch at the Bistro.

Nick is then told by the solicitor that there may be a problem with the late licence, which he needs to allow the Bistro to be open at later hours.

Adam explains some locals have raised objections against the late licence.

Matters go from bad to worse when local politician Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) lets slip that Sarah, Nick’s sister, was one of the residents who raised objections about the late licence.

Nick and Adam are both furious with Sarah, unaware she went against the late licence to get away from Damon who, watching her stand in the firing line, enjoys her discomfort.

In later scenes, Sarah speaks her mind to Nick and Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) telling them that their late licence idea is a terrible one.

Nick later calls at the Rovers and tells the locals there will be a meeting at 2pm on that same day to air all opinions on the late licence.

But his mother Gail (Helen Worth) soon asserts she has no objection to it, Nick is baffled.

What will he do?

Coronation Street airs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
