Drinking Challenges Were "Far Worse" Than Eating Tasks
Nigel Farage, the former UKIP leader who finished third on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here, revealed that he battled a secret health condition during his time in the jungle. Speaking on his podcast, fellow campmate Sam said that Nigel tackled the drinking challenges in the Bushtucker Trial as if he was in a pub. Sam, who was crowned King of the Jungle, stated that the drinking challenges were even more difficult than the eating tasks.
"He's a really proud bloke, is Nigel"
According to Sam, Nigel wanted to prove to the nation that he was a stalwart guy and would fully participate in the challenges. Nigel approached the drinking challenge with gusto, downing the vile concoctions as if they were pints. Meanwhile, Tony Bellew, another campmate, struggled and ended up vomiting during the challenge. Nigel, on the other hand, tried to keep everything down and was seen lying on his backpack in agony.
A Contrast of Misery and Humor
While Nigel was in pain, the rest of the campmates were in the main camp eating pancakes and bacon. Sam described the contrast between the sounds of Nigel's suffering and Marvin shouting at him to "shut up and throw up" as humorous. Despite the challenging conditions, Sam said that everyone in the camp was nice.
Sam's Health Trouble on Day One
Sam also revealed that he experienced his own health trouble on the first day of camp. He had a "full-blown" panic attack and felt overwhelmed by the whole experience. However, he eventually acclimatized and found that everyone in the camp was supportive and kind.
Post-Jungle Splurge
Since returning from the jungle, Sam has had minimal downtime. He celebrated his girlfriend's birthday by splurging on a £3k designer bag.
