Actor Nigel Harman will return to the show for the grand final, despite withdrawing due to injury
Nigel Harman, known for his role in Casualty, is set to make a special appearance in the finale of Strictly Come Dancing. The actor had to pull out of the competition after sustaining a rib injury during rehearsals. However, a show insider has revealed that Harman will be returning for the final episode.
Injury forces Harman to withdraw from the competition
Harman, 50, and his dance partner Katya Jones, 34, had to withdraw from Strictly Come Dancing due to Harman's rib injury. The actor explained that he hurt himself while performing a leap off a rostrum. Despite the setback, Harman expressed that he's "having a lovely time" and is "a little bit high on painkillers."
Show insider confirms Harman's return
According to a source, Harman will be missed by those who worked with him on the show, but he is expected to return for the finale. The source also added that everyone wishes him the best and looks forward to seeing him on Saturday, December 16th.
Disappointment over departure
The news of Harman and Jones' departure from the show was revealed just hours before their scheduled performance. They were due to dance a Charleston to the song "Step in Time" from Disney's Mary Poppins. A source stated that they were disappointed as they had a real chance of making it to the finals, having not been in the bottom two.
Despite the setback, Harman's commitment to training and rehearsals was evident. Unfortunately, his rib injury prevented him from performing in the show.
A spokesperson from the BBC confirmed Harman's withdrawal, stating that he is unable to perform due to the rib injury.
