STRICTLY star Nikita Kuzmin has been forced to miss part of the Strictly Come Dancing live tour after testing positive for Covid.
The 24-year-old professional dancer announced the news this evening and told fans that he was gutted to be missing out on some of the tour.
Nikita, who is partnered with Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Tilly, reassured fans that he would be returning soon.
The dancer, who joined the BBC One dance competition last year, posted a photo alongside his partner Tilly.
He also shared another snap of his three Covid lateral flow tests.
In the last image, Nikita looked glum as he shared a selfie of the positive results.
The TV star said: “So sad to be missing a portion of the Strictly Live Tour, but unfortunately I tested Positive for COVID-19.”
“Lots of luck to all the amazing Strictly Cast.
“Will be back as soon as I can :)”
It comes after Nikita was spotted looking cosy with Maisie Smith.
Despite not being partnered with each other, the pair appear to have grown very close as they were spotted frolicking in the street together.
Maisie, 20, who stepped in to replace AJ Odudu and dance with Kai Widdrington, was seen sharing a joke with Nikita, 24, before he slung an arm around her.
The celebs heading out on tour have regularly been seen having fun between rehearsals and Maisie has slotted in perfectly.
The former EastEnders actress and Nikita have even shared a video to Instagram to reveal they had been hanging out.
Maisie giggled towards the camera as they filmed the short clip from their time in the gym – which was posted to the dancer’s Instagram story.
“The idea was better than the execution,” Nikita joked of the behind-the-scenes video, which saw them sitting up one after the other.
Nikita is dancing alongside Tilly Ramsay on tour, after wowing in the competition with her.
He is in a relationship with fellow dancer Nicole Wirt, who lives in Germany.
She supported him during the competition as fans speculated that he might have fallen for Tilly.
They denied falling victim to the infamous Strictly Curse, with Nikita’s girlfriend Nicole even jetting to London from Germany to meet his celeb partner.
Tilly insisted: “We’re just having fun. I think people are just obsessed with the Curse but don’t seem to realise we can be just good friends. And that’s all we are. People seem to forget that.
“I said from the start that I am here to learn to dance and that’s it.”
