The two actors could be seen enjoying Elton John‘s set at Glastonbury – which was his final UK performance.

Fans of Dexter, 57, were struck by his appearance as they didn’t recognise the star.

Posting the capture of him and Taron, Dexter wrote: “Great weekend at Glasto celebrating the one and only @eltonjohn with this talent @taron.egerton.

“He forgot his sandwiches and tried to eat my fancy hat!!! Such an epic and historic gig. It was an honour to be so close to the magic… Dx.”

He starred in ITV’s children show Press Gang, which ran from 1989 until 1993.

The series saw pupils run their very own newspaper at their local school and followed their activities in the running of the title.

Dexter is also known for starring in comedy and crime film Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.

The cast, which included Jason Statham, reunited recently as they attended the premiere of Dexter’s new flick Ghosted.

Dexter could be seen suited and booted as he stood to the right of his movie co-stars.

The film was released in 1998 and it was made for less than £1million, but took over £20million at the box office.

The film follows the story of a man and his friends who lose a poker game to a gangster and create a plan to pay him back.
