Olivia Attwood breaks silence after I’m A Celebrity exit and says she’ll be ‘back soon’

OLIVIA Attwood has spoken publicly for the first time since her shock I’m A Celebrity exit to say she’ll be “back soon”.

Gutted Olivia, 31, was forced to drop out of I’m A Celebrity on day one – but claimed it wasn’t because she broke the show’s strict Covid bubble.

She penned: “Thank you again for all the messages and love.

“Olivia will be back soon.”

Olivia Attwood’s shock I’m A Celeb exit is ‘scary & strange’, says pal

The model and TV host suffered a medical issue overnight and was unable to return to camp.

A rep for I’m A Celebrity said at the time she needed to leave the jungle to undergo some medical checks as a precautionary measure.

They later said: “Unfortunately the medical team has advised it is not safe for Olivia to return to camp as there needs to be a further investigation.

“She has been absolutely brilliant and she’ll be very much missed on the show.”

Olivia wanted to go back to camp, but Ant and Dec confirmed she would not be returning to the show.

It was believed Olivia broke the show’s strict Covid bubble by leaving camp, and ITV bosses feared she could potentially infect the other contestants with the virus.

However, reality star’s rep posted on Instagram tonight: “For clarity, Olivia did not leave the jungle due to covid reasons.”

Hosts Ant and Dec announced Olivia’s departure on Monday night’s show but revealed no further details.

Dec said: “You may have seen that unfortunately Olivia Attwood has left the jungle for medical reasons and sadly won’t be returning.”

Ant continued: “She does feature in tonight’s show, which was filmed before she had to leave.”

Olivia, who is in a relationship with Blackburn Rovers midfielder Bradley Dack, 28, has kept silent since her dramatic exit.

Her best friend Georgia Harrison claims she has no idea what has happened to her.

She said: “To not know . . . it’s a bit scary. She just disappeared — one minute she was there and one minute she was gone. It is one of the strangest situations I have ever seen unfold on television.

“I haven’t heard from her, which I thought was quite surprising as we are close. But I don’t know what she is going through, she might just need a bit of time to take in what has happened.

“Maybe she just doesn’t want to speak to anyone. Sometimes when you are down, you just want to shut everyone out for a bit.

“I have sent her loads of messages and her messages are delivering to her phone. Some of the other girls in our group have messaged her too.

“None of us know anything. Her boyfriend Bradley told one of the other girls she was fine, and that is the only thing we know.”

After she left, Olivia’s reps posted on Instagram: “To say Olivia is heartbroken would be an understatement. She dreamed of doing IAC for years.”

They added: “You will hear the truth from Olivia in due course.”

An ITV spokesman declined to comment.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here airs weeknights at 9pm on ITV.
