Olivia Attwood reveals Love Island secrets from 4am dumpings to hidden sex spots

OLIVIA Attwood has revealed Love Island secrets – opening up about 4am dumpings, hidden sex spots, and even the Islanders’ beach days that never make it to air.

The 30-year-old star shot to fame in the 2017 series of the ITV2 dating show, where she and ex Chris Hughes finished as runner-ups.

She has now shed some light on lesser known facts about the famous villa, with one of her shock revelations to do with Liberty and Jake’s x-rated confession earlier this week.

The couple shocked viewers when they revealed they’d done more under the sheets than anticipated, but Olivia explained: “There aren’t really any secret sex spots for people to go to.

“If you go upstairs during the day you could have sex in the toilet or wherever if you wanted it but I think the editing of the show has just changed.

“When you’re in the bedroom, there’s so many beds and so much noise from the camera run, the gallery, people whispering, you can do stuff under the covers without people knowing.”

Speaking to OK Online, the blonde beauty also opened up about the savage dumpings and re-coupling ceremonies – which can go on until the early hours of the morning.

She explained: “Some of the dumpings can take such a long time. We did some recouplings that went on until three or four in the morning. We wouldn’t know the time but the producers would be telling us we had to go to bed because it was the early hours of the morning.

“They’re awful, they’re worse in real life. On TV, they fill the silences with music but it is so deadly silent, all you can hear is the crackling of the fire.”

Olivia also said that while producers never tell them exactly what to say in their speeches, they do talk it through with Islanders if they get stuck and ask for help.

And after Hugo shocked fans at home by debuting a mid-week haircut ahead of his run-in with Toby, Olivia confirmed that later series of the show have had a lot more help staying glam than hers did.

She told the publication: “I have heard that in recent series, people come in to do maintenance on hair extensions and nails. On my series, there was absolutely nothing apart from the last week. Us girls who were in the final had someone come in to do our hair and nails.

“Until the final we had to cut our own nails, we had hair extensions hanging out, we were a f***ing shambles! So for the series after, they realised the girls looked like absolute ragamuffins so started getting them some help.”

The gang also get designated “beach days” regularly throughout filming – with Olivia and the 2017 cast only getting one because the “villa needed maintenance”.

However, there’s no risk of viewers missing out on drama when the cameras aren’t rolling as the boys and girls are kept separate and producers monitor every conversation.

Olivia shared: “They separated the boys and the girls so we couldn’t chat or get off with each other, nothing can happen to alter the storyline. The boys went on one bus, we went on another and we went to different places.

“Me and Amber Davies were together and we kept trying to walk off and have a chat but they would just follow us and ask, ‘What are you talking about?’ There’s no chance for you to talk about your couple or anything going on on the show. We just went to a beach for the morning, got some takeaway food and just sunbathed and went in the sea for a bit.”

And the same thing happens during meal times, with the cast getting lunch and dinner catered “like a school dinner”.

Producers remain with the stars at all times so there aren’t any chats about the show, storyline, or other Islanders.
