One Show’s Alex Jones reveals intimate pics of the first moments of daughter’s life – after giving birth to third baby

THE One Show’s Alex Jones has given fans an intimate look at the first moments of her daughter’s life. 

The 44-year-old star welcomed her third child, a little girl, with husband Charlie Thomson on Saturday.

She shared a series of videos of Charlie getting the birthing room ready for her, before adding a snap of him fast asleep on a beanbag. 

The presenter told her followers: “The importance of a good birthing partner, but even he got a bit bored as we waited for contractions.

“Reminded him later of how many babies have probably been born on that beanbag.”

Continuing her birth story, she wrote: “Finally we had a big of action. Got to love a bit of gas and air.”

The next snap showed her with her daughter in her arms, which she captioned: “Then the ultimate reward!”

She also shared a picture of her midwife in action.

Alongside a picture of her in the lift, she added: “Eventually we got to take her home to meet her brothers.”

Alex and Charlie already share sons Ted, four, and two-year-old Kit, and she previously called their daughter “the best surprise ever”.

The TV favourite announced she had given birth yesterday with a series of sweet photos – including two of her cradling her first daughter in hospital, and one of the newborn’s tiny feet, with hospital bracelets around each ankle.

Alex wrote: “We have some news………Our beautiful daughter came safely into the world on Saturday afternoon 21.08.21. Tiny, but perfectly formed we are all beyond happy and besotted by her, especially Ted and Kit.

“Watching them with their brand new little sister is just the best and we can’t believe how lucky we are to have the 3 of them and to be a family of 5.”

Alex got engaged to insurance broker Charlie in February 2015 after meeting at a party in 2011.

The couple tied the knot the same year at Cardiff Castle on December 31 – announcing they were expecting their first child less than a year later.
