Tom Hanks to Narrate The Americas

Oscar-winning actor Tom Hanks is set to take on a new role as the narrator of a ten-part BBC nature documentary series titled The Americas. The 68-year-old star will be following in the footsteps of renowned naturalist Sir David Attenborough, who has been synonymous with the BBC's natural history programs for decades.

Exploring Wildlife Across the Atlantic Coast

Filmed over 180 expeditions, The Americas will delve into the diverse wildlife found along the Atlantic coast, including regions like Mexico, the Amazon, the Gulf coast, the Caribbean, and Patagonia. The series will also cover the Wild West, the frozen North, and the Andes, providing viewers with a comprehensive look at the natural wonders of the Americas.

Not the Only Actor Venturing into Nature Documentaries

Tom Hanks is not the only actor venturing into the world of nature documentaries. Downton Abbey star Hugh Bonneville recently lent his voice to The Secret Lives of Animals, a 10-part series that showcases 77 unique species in 24 countries over three years. The documentary made its global debut on Apple TV+ in December 2024.
