OUR Yorkshire Farm’s Amanda Owen has opened up about the “regrets” she has about appearing on the hit Channel 5 series.
The fan favourite show gives viewers an insight into life in the countryside as they follow the adventures of the beloved Owen family.
However, in a recent interview on ITV’s Love Your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh, Amanda confessed she does have some “regrets” about having her family life shared on TV.
As the pair chatted about their love of the countryside, Alan delved into the programme.
The 72-year-old asked Amanda if she has any regrets about starting the Channel 5 documentary series.
Amanda confessed: “It can be difficult, there’s no two ways about it. You have to take the rough with the smooth.
“You put yourself out there and you pretty much can’t claw it back I suppose.”
Amanda, however, also made it clear there are plenty of positives about doing the show.
She said: “On the positive side it makes you more mindful of what you are doing and what you’re championing.
“So, there are two sides to it all and at the end of the day no pain no gain.”
Alan highlighted how Amanda’s nine children are a prominent part of Our Yorkshire Farm.
The presenter asked the shepherdess if she ever “worries” about the kids being on camera.
She added: “I would worry more if I was sort of asking them to act something out or take on an alter ego or persona.
“As it is, we are just living our lives and doing what we would be doing regardless of whether there would be a camera there or not.”
Love Your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh airs Saturdays at 10am on ITV.
