OUR Yorkshire Farm’s Amanda Owen has revealed all about her “low point” at Ravenseat Farm after Storm Arwen hit.

During an appearance on ITV’s Lorraine earlier this week, the mum-of-nine, 47, opened up about how the killer weather conditions affected her home.

The TV star said that their lowest pain was when they had to have fried eggs and Champagne for dinner

The storm – which has killed three people – caused chaos last week as frozen flurries swept through the UK, with freezing temperatures and gusts of almost 100mph.

The shepherdess and her family couldn’t escape the impact of Storm Arwen.

Amanda told host Lorraine Kelly: “The storm has played such a big part this last week.

“What with the weather we have had, we’ve had no electricity, no water. We are OK because we are all here.

“But it had its high points and low points – I think the low point was when tea was actually fried eggs and Champagne.

“Being plunged into darkness, sub-zero temperatures.”

Amanda shot to fame five years ago Channel 5’s observational documentary called Our Yorkshire Farm.

The popular show follows the lives of the writer, her husband Clive and their nine kids on Ravenseat Farm in Swaledale in the Yorkshire Dales.

The two – who tied the knot in 2000 – are mum and dad to Raven, 20, Reuben, 18, Miles, 15, Edith, 13, Violet, 11, Sidney, nine, Anna, seven, Clemmy, six, and five-year-old Nancy.

Although they have spent their whole lives on the farm, Amanda recently admitted that she thinks they should “see the wider world” before making the decision for the family.

The star spoke to Mariella Frostrup on Times Radio and expressed her concerns over her children and how they should approach their lives ahead.

“I think they should all head out and go and see the wider world,” she confessed.

“Then, quite a few of them I think will come back,” Amanda added, as she likened her children to a “boomerang”.

Her oldest Raven is going to university, and Reuben has dreams of starting his own contracting company.
