PATSY Palmer is breaking from the Dancing On Ice norm when it comes to her training schedule for next year’s series.
The EastEnders legend, 50, is based in Los Angeles so will practice Stateside as opposed to the rinks of the UK, before jetting to her homeland for the live shows.

The EastEnders star wants to challenge herself at 50 years old
The mum-of-three is keen to remain close-by to her kids Charley, Fenton and Emilia for as long as possible.
Speaking on yesterday’s This Morning, she said: “I’ll be travelling back, but training in Los Angeles which I feel blessed about.
“I’m going to try to win. I don’t know how you do that, but I’m going to go for it.”
While chatting to hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, Patsy admitted she “loved” ice skating.
After being pressed on her experience before joining the show, Patsy explained she used to ice skate as a child.
“I used to get on the bus with my mates and go to the rink,” she told This Morning.
“It was something we used to do as kids, it was one of the first things we were allowed to do without our parents.
“We used to skate around fast and crash into the wall. That’s the only way I can stop. I don’t know if that’ll be a good idea…
“I’ll be like Todd Carty and skate off [down the tunnel].”
This Morning viewers were shocked when Patsy revealed she had signed up to the show.
Some guessed the first name announced was going to be Chris Evans or Stacey Dooley after being given clues about red hair and a set of DJ decks.
But it was the Walford favourite who appeared on-screen, live from her home in Los Angeles.
“I wanted to challenge myself, get back to work and get out of my comfort zone. I thought I’d just go for it”, said Patsy, who turned 50 this year.
“It seems a lot of fun and I love ice skating, but I’m not an ice skater.
“I’ve been asked to do it before, but I was absolutely terrified.
“The pact I made to myself when I turned 50, which I did this year, is that I have to do things to challenge myself for the next couple of years.
“I don’t want to get stuck in this weird phase of ‘ahh I’m 50’. It’s such a weird age.
“This is for all the 50-year-olds who think they can’t do this.
“I’m actually quite scared now.”
Patsy played Bianca in EastEnders from 1993 to 1999, reprised her role from 2008- 2014 and then returned again briefly in 2019.
She moved to the US in 2014 and in 2020 she rebranded herself as a lifestyle guru and launched her own wellness Instagram page, Good and Proper.
