Pete Wicks Supports Sam Thompson in the Jungle

The former Towie star, 35, has traveled all the way to Australia to be there for Sam when he leaves the jungle, joining the other campmates' loved ones.

Pete Wicks Predicts the Bromance Won't Last

Pete, who co-hosts a podcast with Sam, says he is not threatened by Sam's new bromance with JLS singer Marvin Humes and confidently declares that "it won't last."

Speaking to Closer, Pete explains, "I absolutely love Marvin, I think he's wonderful. But what you're seeing is what I can only describe as a holiday romance. It won't last. When things come back to reality, Sam knows where his bread is buttered. He'll realize that there is only one man in his life, and that's me."

Pete Wicks Stands Firm on I'm A Celeb Bridge

Pete recently made headlines when he refused to give up his spot on the I'm A Celebrity bridge to Sam Thompson's girlfriend, Zara McDermott, after she was axed from Strictly.

Pete confirms that Sam put him forward for the honor of greeting him in the jungle when he leaves camp, and he's sticking to the original plan. He tells Lorraine Kelly, "Zara could have gone but we obviously thought Zara was still going to be in Strictly. Obviously now she could have gone, but I won't give up my place. Listen, first come, first served."

A Close Friendship

Pete and Sam have been close friends since meeting on Celebs Go Dating in 2018 and even co-host a podcast together. Their bromance has been well-documented on Instagram, and Pete and Zara, who has been dating Sam since 2019, have been cheering on the Made in Chelsea star together.

Pete admits to missing Sam, saying, "I really miss him. I didn't think I would because he really annoys me, but what I've realized is that I do need that in my life and he's my brother and I do miss him."

In a sweet tribute, Pete adds, "The thing is with Sam when you first meet him, I always say he's a grower not a shower. Eventually, you learn to love him. At the beginning, it's quite annoying. But that's part of his personality and that's part of who he is because he just wants everyone to like him and he just wants everyone to smile, so he tries really hard. Actually, if he was more himself, then people would love him anyway because he's just the best guy."
