PETER Andre could win a BAFTA for his acting in his debut movie role, a film director pal of the singer has claimed.
Fredi Nkwaka, who is friends with Mysterious Girl hitmaker Pete, 49, thinks his role in On The Other Foot is worth big recognition.

Director, actor and rapped Fredi, who cast Pete as character Justin in the new film, thinks he could win a BAFTA for the performance.
Exclusively speaking to The Celeb Report Online about whether Pete was award-win worthy, he said: “Definitely, I think people are going to be very, very shocked.
“They’re going to watch this film and be like, ‘wow’, because he’s not expected to act in the way that he acts and this people are going to be shocked. “
Pete was seen being transformed into a racist thug in a dark trailer for his new movie On The Other Foot earlier this year.
The film follows main character Billy Pitcher, a racist who wakes up in the body of a black man after attending an African church for the first time.
Mysterious Girl singer Pete starred as fellow racist Justin, who could be heard scathing in a teaser clip: “All of yous, bloody scum.”
Director Fredi previously revealed he chose Pete for the role due to his “solidarity in the fight against racism” in a social media post.
Pete teamed up with eldest child Junior for the film, as they were seen reading through the script alongside the other stars on Zoom.
Last year, the singer was seen taking a beating, showing off a neck tattoo and scars, as he filmed for On The Other Foot.
In gritty new scenes Peter was grabbed by the neck and shoved up against a wall before sliding down and slumping to the floor.
The violence looked pretty real but once the director yelled, “cut!” Pete could be seen laughing and joking with the other actors.
It comes after Pete admitted he was “scared” for his celeb friends as he reveals scammers stole his identity and are now targetting his friends online.
He explained the scammers had pretended to be him and asked his followers for money and their personal information.
Pete branded the ordeal as ‘horrible’ and admitted he is fearful that some of his followers may fall for the scammers’ attempts.
“I often turn a blind eye to things on Instagram, but when I saw my followers were messaging me saying they had been contacted by people pretending to work for me and they were asking for money and personal information, I had to say something,” he said in his OK! Magazine column.
He continued: “It’s horrible that people are doing this and I wanted to highlight it as I’m worried one of my followers will fall for it and start handing over money.”

Andre sympathised with Instagram and the police as he said he continues to block and report the bogus accounts.
“I’ve even had friends in the industry message me to say they’ve been contacted too. It’s ridiculous that people can do this, but it must also be so difficult for Instagram to police,” he revealed.
