The performer, who plays Vince Fontaine in the musical, has been absent from London’s Dominion Theatre for four nights.

Last night he was seen leaving the venue and appeared in good spirits, flashing a smile at photographers.

Stylish Pete, 49, wore a cream tracksuit, Balenciaga trainers and a baseball cap.

It comes as worried fans were left concerned when he was missing on stage.

A source close to Pete told The Celeb Report: “Pete was raging he couldn’t go to work and was devastated he had to miss his shows.

“He has been really poorly – he would never pull out of anything otherwise, he hates letting people down and hates being ill.

“He’s so excited to go back tonight – he will definitely be on stage tonight.”

Peter was replaced by Darren Bennett but fans were less than impressed when the singing legend was missing.

Peter’s wife Emily recently revealed their two children, Theo and Amelia, struggle understanding his fame.

She said: “It’s a weird concept for them.

“I understand that as it’s a weird concept for me too sometimes. To me he’s just Pete!

“Sometimes Theo says, ‘People call Daddy Peter Andre. Why do they do that?’ which always makes us laugh.”
