PETER Andre’s ‘new band’ the Teletubbies released an album yesterday to celebrate their upcoming 25th anniversary.
The Teletubbies have been squirrelling away in the studio after they reformed as a group thanks to pop star Peter’s help.
They first achieved music fame in the 90’s with the anthem Teletubbies Say Eh-Oh!?
Now Tinky-Winky, Dipsy, Laa Laa and Po, who first graced screens in 1997, are up against Coldplay in the charts after releasing their record on Friday.
“After almost 30 years in the business, music management feels like a natural career progression, I mean who knows more about how to make a 90’s comeback than me?
“The Teletubbies are my dream first signing. All credit to the band, they’ve had their time out, left their egos at the door and are putting in the hard work so they can relive the glory of their (our!?) 90’s heyday.
“We’re being realistic and know that it might not happen overnight but Coldplay better watch out, the battle is on!” says Pete.
Fans can join the dance party over on official Teletubbies YouTube channel which will release 10 new videos every Saturday until 20th November 2021.
Peter took over from Simon Cowell as manager saying his family is ecstatic about his new role.
Wife Emily, 32, loved their iconic TV show as a kid, and now their children Theo and Amelia are hooked.
Teletubbies is one of the most popular children’s television programmes of all time.
A whopping 485 episodes ran over nine seasons between 1997 to 2001.
In 2015 a revival series was released and is still on air now.
The group appeared on This Morning last month and shocked viewers with their real voices.
Phillip asked them: “So, do you think you’re going to beat them?”
Laa Laa replied: “Teletubbies song the bestest song!”
Po added: “Teletubbies number one!”
Holly asked if they’ll make another appearance on the programme, to which Po replied: “We love Holly and Phil!”
Surprised viewers flocked to Twitter and one pointed out: “I don’t remember the Teletubbies talking before!”
