PHILLIP Schofield has confirmed he will miss Dancing On Ice tonight with coronavirus – and has wished replacement Stephen Mulhern good luck.
The This Morning star, 59, tested himself twice in the hope he would return a negative result and be cleared to go back to work in the studio.
But it wasn’t to be and he remains positive, forcing him to stay at home for a little while longer.
Sharing a picture of his latest lateral flow tests, he wrote on Instagram: “Sorry Dancing On Ice. Have an amazing show Stephen Mulhern it’s so much fun x.”
Despite his positive tests, Phillip reassured fans earlier in the week he’s feeling “100 per cent well”.
He has regularly posted from his home, where he has his own voice recording studio so he can continue to work while isolating.
The ITV star also revealed he has been working through TV box sets while his place on This Morning is filled by stand-in hosts including Vernon Kay, Alison Hammond and Josie Gibson.
Dancing On Ice was always at the forefront of his mind, with him saying: “There’s a number of things I’m disappointed about.
“Obviously I’m disappointed that I’m not there, we’re a little bit worried about Dancing on Ice as I’m cutting it a bit fine for Dancing on Ice on Sunday.”
The skating show will be in safe hands though as Holly Willoughby remains in place and Stephen has a wealth of big show experience from Catchphrase to In For A Penny.
